When applying for an E2 visa, what does immigration do with the criminal check? Do they keep it or give it back?

So what if a job doesn't work out a couple of months into it? Do I have to order the criminal check again? I guess that wouldn't make sense. They must keep it on file.

You only have to submit it once. They keep it on file (as they said they would be doing with transcripts, as well, but I'll believe that when I see it).

This is what I'm worried about. Supposedly they keep it on file, but I had to, not only send transcripts again to Korea, but I also had to give a copy to the consulate.
