What is it with Korean women and pantyhose? They seem to wear it all the time, even when it's so hot out. And they always seem to wear those little foot covering things, even when they're wearing sandals and you can totally see it. It looks ridiculous. What is that about?

A few years ago, I asked about those little pantyhose "socks" that they wear with sandals. I was told that they are worn because it keeps feet from smelling bad.

Hmmm, that's a new one--using 100% nylon as a stink inhibitor.

Whatever. Personally, I suspect that people buy them for the sole purpose of keeping the adjummas who sell them in business.

I agree. I can't see how wearing them is going to make your feet smell better. I thought maybe it was considered rude or something not to wear some kind of foot covering. That makes more sense since you're always having to take off your shoes.

I was told that bare feet were rude so as I wear sandals all the time I need to wear the little dodgy 'sockettes' thing. I wear sandals to work sans sockettes & just put them on while wearing 'work slippers'....whatever gets me through the day...
