I have always been fascinated by the practice, and want to learn. Anyone know how ? When I was living in Seoul a Korean student at Kyunghee University School of Medicine was living next to me, and sometimes when I used to go visit him he would be practicing on himself with his needles. Is that how they learn, or should I say is that one way to learn.

Have seen courses advertised on the odd occasion, but would like some more information?

Stick a lot of small needles in someone and ask if it hurts, if it hurts it's in the wrong place, take it out and stick it in another place.

I have yet to see scientific evidence to support that acupuncture works. It has never been published in any nationally know medical journal for that matter, supporting acupuncture. I am not doubting it, still.... why is it so slow to catch on? And why isn't it an accepted form of medicial practice? I have tried it four different times, had many treatments for this and that and it never did work. Usually my body healed itself or I went to see a real doctor. Anyone have any luck?

If you really want to learn, here's one way.
http://www.aoma.edu/?source=overture
or this one,
http://www.acaom.edu/

some information about acupuncture,
http://www.medical-acupuncture.co.uk/patients.shtml#uses

and something for the skeptic out there who wants some "science" to back up the claims made by acupuncturists.

There are plenty more, have you ever tried using a search engine?
Altavista is my fav.
Cheers Cool

Heres some evidence - acupuncture has been around for thousands of years. Do you really think people would continue a medical practice for that long, if it didn't actually work?

Also - acupuncture doesn't really treat the symptoms (which is why you go - eg, a sore back), but treats your whole body, and attempts to correct the flow of chi/energy through your body. Therefore its not as immediate as say a nice pain killing pill, as it's not just treating the symptom, but is holistic.
