I'm going over to Korea in a few weeks and will be using a large suitcase for my main gear to go in the hold. Thought it would be a good idea to get a small backpack that I can stuff a load more clothes or whatever into that would be allowed as carry-on luggage. Would also come in handy if I decide to do any internal trips or go to China or somewhere for a week or at the end of my contract.
What size bag would I be allowed to take on the plane? Can you recommend any?
Just wondering if your allowed any other bags besides your one main carry-on? Between me and my girlfriend we will also have to carry a laptop and an Xbox. |

different airlines have different weight and bag regulations. you should check with whatever airline you are traveling with. |

yeah i'm aware of that. i'm not looking for specific dimensions or anything, just a rough idea. like is a berghaus 25litre backpack too big for most airlines or do you think a bag of that size wouldn't be a problem? |

i think a pack that size is small enough that as long as you pack it with light things you shouldn't have a problem. but you might want to check with your airline first because it would be a total drag if you couldn't carry it on.
i have a 25L pack and i would try to carry it on. |

Why a backpack why not a bag with wheels?
Most of the time something that big will be put in a cab or or other form of transportation - like a bus - and not carried. When not carried the wheeled bag can be rolled.
Much better in hot climates.
I usually travel with a laptop and often times will put the laptop case on the wheeled case and don't have to carry either, like in airports. |
