Namdemun market. First find the foreign goods section. That's got an arch and sign, 'foreign goods'. There's a ramp to walk down to the underground shopping for that. Don't go down.
Not far from this arch/sign is a shopping alley that has the surplus stuff like the green army duffel bags you're looking for. They're from 15 to twenty thousand.
Another place is Dongdaemun. That actually has a bigger selection.
From Dongdaemun head away along the canal. You'll be going the direction towards the sewing goods, leather, fabric shops. Keep going about two blocks and you'll come to a Japanese style mall.
What I mean by that is there is a high plexiglass arched clear roof way up about three stories. And a pedestrian walk under that with shops to either side. The first such mall is your destination. Turn right into it and you'll see ladies who do sewing and, either side of them, army surplus shops. There are a lot of army surplus shops, about fifteen. You can then find the cheapest, best duffels. |
