Hello everyone...
Just planning my travels and was wondering if anyone knew of an easy way to get from Palawan, Philippines, to Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo).
I know i could fly from Palawan to Cebu or Manila and then over but they seem so close already that I'm wondering if I am just missing something!
2) Has anyone flown with Cebu Pacific? They seem to offer super cheap flights and just wondering if its too good to be true.
Thanks |

You can get to Malaysia from Zamboanga, but that's not in Palawan.
You could check the port in Palawan and ask about cargo boats going to Malaysia.
It would probably be best to fly, as you may not be happy about the condition of the boat if there is one.
If you do a search you can find stories of boats sinking between Philippines and Malaysia once every few years.
It could be good for you to get on a mailing list for Cebu Pacific. They have periodic sales for low price tickets, but you have to reserve them in advance.
There is a flight sale now. It says Manila to Kota Kinabalu 999 pesos.

I have flown on Cebu Pacific and I like it.
Palawan. It's NOT an international airport. No flights from there to Borneo. There isn't the demand for it. Most Philippines cities don't even have direct flights to Palawan, let alone international ones.
However, I have strangely heard of talks of having a flight to Palawan from Incheon of all places! Let's hope that stops at the talks, and never materializes! |
