Does anyone know the number of the Canadian Embassy? I've found several numbers online and only one actually gets a ring. I've been calling it for 2 weeks and never an answer.

I see that they are relocating in July so perhaps that has something to do with it, but it seems pretty ridiculous that they don't answer their phone.

I have to get my CRC stamped at the Embassy. So I'd like to call ahead to see what the process is like and see if I need an appointment. I don't feel like taking a half day off work and travel there just to find out I have to come back at a later date.

Has anyone contacted the Can Embassy before by telephone, or gotten their CRC stamped? What was the process like? Did you need an appointment?

The Canadian embassy sucks A$$

You might as well just show up.. cause they NEVER answer their phones, nor do they respond in the time they say they will. They claim 2 days.. I have always had to wait at least a week.. usually 2. They are totally and utterly useless.

When you say they are relocating in July, are you sure it's July 2008 or was it July 2007? I visited the embassy last month for the first time since 2003 and it seems to have moved since then.

I haven't done the CRC thing there but we got our marriage papers dealt with on the spot when we showed up last month, so my guess is that as long as you had all your ducks in a row, you'd only have to visit once.

ummm... they relocated to the new Embassy building LAST July (2007).

The consular section is open in the mornings for service to Canadians. They do not book appointments. Show up at the counter, get your helping of rude from the cow behind the glass, pay your fee, wait for the consul, swear your affidavit, wait some more, pick it up and move along.

They do not answer the phone. Their service sucks ass on a good day and gets worse from there but the ambassador doesn't give a rat's ass about Canadians (other than top execs) in Korea so no worry.
