Not to single out individuals but to gain some insight into what actions are annoying.

I get tired of the personal feuds and vendettas which disrupt threads. So that's my vote.

Feel free to add your own pet peeve.

Maybe you should have another option. "All of thee above"

Flame-baiting especially with regards to religion, Canada vs America, and other things guaranteed to start a twelve-pager. But I have less problem with disinformation posted as humour.

But by far the most annoying thing (which you didn't include) is the "racists vs apologists" conflict. If you really are racist, maybe you'd be better off teaching English in an all-white country like Sweden.

Some try a little too hard to appear witty here.

I would have opted for flamebaiting, but you included trolling(which can be rather entertainng) in the same option.

Taking Daves cafe too seriously. I think this option nullifies all the others.

I think the guys that pop into a thread, add nothing constructive or on topic, and try to appear like they are above everyone involved in the thread are highly-annoying. They are especially annoying when they criticize people for doing the same things they do. They are just trolls.

So, you could add another choice to your poll called "those witty guys," but it would probably be OK if you abbreviated.

those witty guys has given me quite a chuckle in recent times. Humour is the best thing about Dave's for me.

Most annoying are the guys that pop on here bragging about their sexploits. Examples..."man, I laid tons of pipe this weekend" or "I'm banging one K-girl after another". Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people enjoying themselves. I've had some good times here as well. I just think that it's tacky and tasteless to come on a forum like this and boast about it. Maybe I'm a prude, but that's just me.

I hate incoherant stupid drunken posts. Flame wars are fun if it against idiots like 9/11 deniers. Personal attacks are bad manners but some folks just need attacking.

What's that, like people who believe 9/11 didn't happen?

What I wanna know is: What's up with the passive aggressive users dragging their bruised egos into every available thread they can?

It's especially silly when their bruised egos are based on something as unimportant as their ideologies not treated with the veneration they feel it should have.

Sometimes you're like, "Dude, not everyone thinks your political leanings are important enough to be splitting hairs over for fifteen pages in the CE forum. Get over yourselves."

But then you're like, "Ehn, it's ESL Cafe. This is where egotistical, angry guys go to be angry and egotistical." And then you go read another thread because for every dweeb here, there's about ten users who aren't.

But you know what I DO like?

Peppermint and Big Bird.

I'd nuzzle their earlobes if they'd ask me.

Hmm... I went with the petty attacking/fighting, although I must agree that it's often entertaining- but only when both people are stupid about it. I get so frustrated reading a one-sided fight, where only one person is truly ignorant, yet can't admit defeat/just stop taking over the thread. I think that kinda falls in line with the flame-baiting or whatever, but it's the only thing that really bothers me on here. Everything else you can kind of ignore/not read... it just sucks when the thread is otherwise a really good read/discussion and I can barely get through it due to some jerk with an (unrelated) agenda.
