|
|
Hi...
I'll be in Seoul this weekend and would like to know if anyone has any recommendations for a good hotel nearby the Seoul Express Bus Terminal. Since this Friday is my payday, price won't be too much of an option (still don't want to pay 100,000 won a night though) and seeing as we're getting in after the subways have stopped running, and we'll be taking a taxi to whereever, the hotel doesn't have to be located RIGHT near the terminal.
Thanks for your help! |

Well, I appreciate your input PS, but I called them and was just told they were booked full for this weekend. Ah well. Back to the drawing board. Any more ideas? Anyone else have any good ideas? |

Just recently somebody was posting here about an absolutely amazing hotel for around 50,000 near the Nambu Bus Terminal across from the Kukje tower, which is only 1 or 2 subway stops south of the Seoul Express Bus Terminal on the orange line. 'something' Green, or 'Green something' I believe the name was. |

I like your new avatar Bulsajo (I have a thing for penguins...)
ANYWAYS, do you know the full name of the hotel? Has it come to you mind yet? |

Nope, sorry. I can't even remember who it was that posted about it; I was hoping they would see this thread and chime in...

Katydid,
There is a pretty nice western hotel near Nambu Bus Terminal that is quite reasonably priced (or was back in 1999-2000) called Hotel Centro. My parents stayed there for 50,000won per night. There little restaurant also served western breakfasts even if it takes them forever to cook up a few pancakes.

Whoops! I see that they have raised the rates. Well, anyway I will post this just in case. |

You could have picked a sex motel..they are cheap.
Don't laugh, but when my dad came we put him up in one...I even asked him if it would be OKAY, and he was fine with it as the rooms are new and modern with tv/dvdplayer/big bed, good showers and they are very secure.
The bonus for me was the sex motel was practically next to my house, so we could spend more time with my dad and help him out more.
(My house at the time was too small to have him stay with me and the wife unfortunately ) |
