My school, a public middle school with 1000+ students, recently told me next semester I will probably get my own classroom, which will be the English Language room (lab?) and that they will have $50,000 to spend. I clarified three or four times, thinking they meant $5,000, but they insist on 50,000,000 won. Anyway, I am trying to think of things that we will need for the room, and am hitting a wall. What makes a good English classroom? They need to spend the money, so anything goes almost.
I was wondering if you had any ideas or suggestions, or could tell me about your english classroom/lab?
Here's how I've categorized the items: decorations, technology, furniture, and classroom management. I'm sure there are more. For decorations, maps, posters, and things like that.
For Furniture, I want a white board, and I need desks conducive to group work. I always keep my classes in groups of 4, but with round desks I am staring at at least 1 students back. What kind of desks are good for groups?
For technology, a projector, a scanner, and a printer. Anything else?
Classroom management: I know there must be something we can get for classroom management, to encourage students to be on time and not to f*** around. Any ideas?

and build your own Wiimote touch display setup. |

Cool! Are you building an IR pen, retrofitting one, or did you find one that works?
Did you have to convince your school to buy a Wiimote and bluetooth adapter or is this a personal project? |

Personal project.
Once it's up and running I will offer it to the school, If they want to reimburse me then they can if not I keep it for future use. Either way I am happy with it.
Co-teacher is interested in it as something she can carry to class to class so we will have to see how it works.
Icicle got one up and running last week I think. |

I used a little over 50M KRW to equip my entire Hagwon!
You might want to invest in a small library of books off various levels Oxford and Penguin stuff. |
