I'm staying at the same school for another year and have to go to immigration next week to renew/extend my visa. I'd really apprciate it if anyone who has already did this could take a look at the list of documents and let me know if anything is missing.

Visa Extension Application - where do I get this form?

Passport

ARC

New contract

Certificate of Employment (sponsorship certificate) - should the school provide this?

Copy of Certificate of Business Registration - should school provide this?

Sealed university transcripts

CBC check (notarised)

Original degree certificate

Medical report

Visa Fee

Many thanks in advance for any replies/advice

Cheers

If you wish to renew your contract at your current school, you will need the following documents ;

1. Visa Extension Application (from the immigration office)
2. Passport and your Alien Registration Card
3. New contract
4. Sponsorship Certificate (from school)
5. A copy of Certificate of School / Business Registration (from school)
6. Processing Fee (30k for the extension + 50k for multi-re-entry permit)
7. New Criminal Record Certificate, apostillized / embassy notarized if you are in Korea.
8. New Health Check Certificate

Please note that for those who had their initial E2 visa issued by the Superintendent of GPOE, you may be exempted from providing the above two documents. However this is at the discretion of the case officers at each Immigration Office.

Thanks for the info ttompatz.
Is it possible to get and fill out the Visa Extension application form on the day I go to immigration or do I have to get and fill out the form before going?

tompatz is like Mohter Theresea, except that he does not buy into metaphysical Catholic nonsense.

And, fortunately, he's not dead.

You can do it on the day. It's a standard form. Tick the box that says "Extension of sojourn".

Also, to make payment you must buy 3 man won stamps from a desk in the office and stick them to the base of the form. There will be glue on the table where the forms are.
