It seems that the local fruit has been posting porn on our site again. The mods aren't able to get to it immediately, in many cases.
Just to help keep his goofball under control, would it be possible for this site to elect some trusted long-time members to be given a few more "powers" to put posts in a sort of holding bin for the mods to look at, or to perhaps block users from posting until the mods decide whether or not that poster is a threat?
Of course, these powers would be very limited, and supervised by the mods....
I'd like to see several trusted folk like maybe Yum Bum Suk, Cubanlord, SuperHero, Demophobe, Spliff (shocking, but yes), and others to have this sub-mod powers (if some of them aren't mods already.. haha).

Why... you two are the ones constantly posting CELTA PORN, and spreading lies like, "A CELTA is a prerequisite to teach in Korea."
Someone needs to counter that so people aren't misled into spending money they don't need to spend. |

To put it lightly, your accusation doesn't correspond with the reality of my post history on this message forum.
I've never said that about the CELTA. I write sincerely about merits of the CELTA, and believe strongly in the imminent usefulness of on-site TEFL programs. I've never said it's a prerequisite to teaching in Korea.
Your three or four page CELTA speech is SPAM. |

I'm a huge free speech advocate. It is not censorship any more than banning pornography on Sesame Street. There are places to view porn. No one watching Sesame Street or reading a teacher's website should see unexpected pornography in a discussion forum. |

i think it would be more betterer if someone formed an esl lynch mob, spliff can be the leader
locate the IP of the douche who is posting this crap, and give him a beat down
either that or hook up some of the regular brothers with mod status so they can keep the porn off this site
