Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon?

It seems to be an unbreakable law of weather patterns. I have it on record now as 8 out of the past 9 weekends have been ruined by rain or very overcast weather- while every last working day that you are actually stuck in the office, is beautifully sunny. It wouldn't bother me so much normally, but photography is one of my main hobbies and its hard to get good photos when the day is very dark and overcast or you have rainspots all over your camera lens.

Is it because increased traffic and air pollution at weekends causes more condensation?

Plus people tend to laugh on the weekend. That causes more consdensation. Stop laughing. Try to keep a straight face on the weekend.

Just so you know we have entered rainy season, by August the weather should be more suited to your lifestyle.

It was like that last year and I ended up not taking weekend trips as much as I had planned. Quite depressing to say the least. Despite it raining on Saturday, I did jump a bus and go meet some other foreigners for lunch and an afternoon out. You just have to get out of the apartment and your local area some or you will get bored, isolated, and depressed.

Yea, I have noticed. It was the same way last year as well (in Busan, anyways).

I saw a program on discovery once which said if you live in a city then it is more likely to rain on the weekends due to smog/traffic causing the weather to change.

Just holding out until vacation!!!

I knew it was more than just a myth.

Airplane trails must also have a lot to do with it. Everyone flies off for the weekend. The effect of air traffic on weather is well known: US weather changed markedly during the 3 days that all aircraft were grounded after 9/11.

I don't know if you noticed or not, but Mother Nature has been pissed the past few years. It's no big deal anymore when it rains or if it's too damn hot. It happens here, it happens in Canada, China and now in the Midwestern States as well.

It's gonna get worse the next few years. I feel it in my knees, baby!!

When I was single, I noticed the crappy weekend weather all the time. Since I've been married I haven't thought of it. I guess you could get married and then it wouldn't bother you so much. Laughing

It sucks!
Wheres a good get away for a rainy weekend? Don't wanna be stuck in the city this weekend, or go to the beach in the rain.
