Anyone here have an experience with ghosts? I swear there's one in my apt. Evere since I've lived there, the overhead light in the living room will come on automatically, but really randomly: sometimes it comes on once every couple of months; sometimes it comes on several times a month; sometimes it comes on repeatedly after I've turned it off. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and it's on, which really freaks me out. There are no electrical surges in our apt., so I don't think it has to do with faulty wiring.
Next, there's a small palm on my nightstand. Sometimes 1 branch moves (only one branch- not the whole plant), even though the door and window is closed, and there is no movement in the room.
Google has been of no help, so I think it's a ghost.
Anyone else with poltergeist stories? |

ghosts are real.. well I believe so..
best thing to do is test it..
EVP's
also take out the lightbulb in the main room, and see if another light comes on for no reason..
do some tests to be sure.. |

We have "lights on and off" poltergeist living in one of our bedrooms. In our case faulty wires are definitely not behind the phenomena. Before my gf's brother moved in with us (don't get me started) everything was ok in that room. But since he's been living with us, his bedroom's light turns on and off by itself.
The reason for this is that the light switches in our bedrooms can be remotely controlled. Her brother's crappy laptop is always on and using wlan and oher stuff. The sensor in the light switch picks up some interference from the craptop and/or wireless Internet box and turns on the lights now and then.
Maybe you have similar light switches or then the wires are faulty. Also the connectors in the switch may be in need of a repair/cleaning.
Oh, I just remembered that in our TV room I can turn on and off the lights with our TV's remote controller! I found out this by acciodent and have been using in ever since! I just have to point in a certain direction and voila! |

|

Having lived in a couple houses that were most definitely haunted in NY I've thought about this a bit in Korea.
I'd say it depends on your place of residence. All these new fangled skyscraper apartment people traps are so recent that i doubt much of a traumatic nature has happened (the most haunted house I lived in was at one point a sick house for children in the early 1900's when they were dropping dead from random diseases like it was the cool thing to do) but they are on top of land where many a Korean has died (if you live in seoul) i'm sure.
Speaking on this i'd run the EVP, but also keep in mind that electricity (especially in buildings older than 10 years old) isn't so great around this place. I'd keep an eye out for some more significant movement of objects, turning on of other appliances (tv radio etc) or bring a dog in and see how it reacts. My old place we had two dogs who were quite large and threatening but darn well urinated on the floor if we tried to get them to go down to the basement.
Good luck let us know how it pans out |

You need a crucifix, if you dont already have one.
I carry one with me whenever I travel; Its just about the first thing to come out of my bag when Im unpacking in a strange hotel room.
Just last week I had a rather odd experience, here in China. It was my first night in a new room. I was puttering around in the kitchen. From behind my back, the sound of a door opening, footsteps . . . That's what I heard, anyway! And there was no one there. No one I could see anyway.
Quite straightforwardly, without any fuss, just like putting a bandaid on a papercut or calling the cops at the sound of gunshots, I unpacked the crucifix and said a very simple improvised prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, King of Glory, bless this house.
Lord Jesus Christ, King of Glory, deliver me from evil.
You are the King of Glory, Lord Jesus, Amen.
Not a hint of trouble after that.
If it works . . . |

Oh, geez- a sick house for kids? I wouldn't have lasted a second in that place, That's sad... I'll have to look into the EVP. We're moving out in May, so at least I won't have to worry about ghosts much longer!
God idea on the prayer, Vlad Spinner- I do have a crucifix above my bed. Maybe I should sleep with it under my pillow... |

conduct some experiments first ok. just to make sure it us a ghost/spirit or you are not just imagining it and thinking its a ghost..
faulty light switches is not enough to go on...
1: take out the light bulb in the socket which is causing you to believe its a ghost.. keep it out for about 1 month.. if other lights go on instead then that brings the possibility closer.. if nothing happens then that brings the possibilty further way from it being a ghost..
2: do you notice drops in temperature in the room when you feel a presence?
3: have you felt anything on your body at night?
4: has anything been moved in the night?
these are questions you need to ask yourself before you start calling its a ghost its a ghost..
run the EVP.. just turn on your video camera and let it run... do this a couple times a week for a month also.. its the sound you are looking at..
goodluck.. you could even try making an Ouija board get some friends around and have a seance.. but hey! that kind of stuff some people believe is untrue, others say it is and its dangerous..
its another way to see if anything is there.. if something does happen.. GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE.. |

My aunt's house was "haunted" but after they remodeled it was back to normal. It makes no sense. |

I've seen many so-called "ghosts".
Like about 10? |

That's logical.

Sleep paralysis is a known explanation:

4: has anything been moved in the night? |
Poor memory can also be an explanation.

Electronic equipment can pick up all kinds of background noises and interference. |

I get sleep paralysis(as in i see stuff) and first time I saw something, a young woman walking over my room towards me it really freaked me out. Normally though you just see a black shadow or sense evil..or in my case the room seems darker.
these are all classic sleep paralysyis signs and I gauruntee you, if you have a conversation class, ask them about ghosts one of them will mention this. |

I met a foreigner here who goes around to restricted areas and abandoned homes looking for ghosts.
Ghosts don't scare me. More people have been killed by people than by ghosts. |
