In looking over contracts, I see a lot more of them requiring a whole contract (12 months ) to be worked before return airfare will be provided. Is 12 months the new 6 months, or what? |

Twelve months is, and alwas has been the norm to qualify for return airfare.
In most contracts, completion of six months is required before one does not have to pay back the cost of airfare to Korea. |

Is it too much to ask for the language center of a university to pay for the airfare for my spouse? According to the contract, the airfare reimbursement is for $1000. That won't get us both there OW. |

You can try. The answer will depend on your negotiating skills and just how much they want you. However, if the contract specifies $1000 for airfare reimbursement (OW or total? ) it's highly unlikely.
A grand won't get me one-way from home to K-land (or vice versa). Never mind two people! |
