Here's the deal. I've got an E2 with a university that's valid until the end of the year. I'm doing a camp this summer and need to get the E2 visa additonal place of employment added on to my visa.

I hoped that I could do it here at the consulate in Atlanta, so I brought all the necessary documentation (health check, apostillized CRC, school business licenses, contract, letters of approval, etc.). I rocked up at the consulate and they were clueless. The woman kept trying to give me a C4 for the camp (which would cancel my E2) and tried to give me an E2 for my current job (which I don't need, since I don't have one). In the end, I was unable to get the additional place of employment added on to my visa.

My question: is it possible to get an additional place of employment added on to an E2 from outside the country, or do you have to do it from within the country?

Thanks.

An embassy/consulate can only issue visas. They can't add a workplace to your existing ARC.

You must go to the appropriate Immigration office in Korea.

Cruise Monkey is right, but here's clarification for your confusion.

The 2nd place of employment is NOT added to your visa. As Cruise Monkey noted, it's added to your ARC (Alien Registratin Card) which
you get AFTER you are in Korea. The 2nd place of employment would be added to the ARC at a Korean Immigration office (not at the airport.)

Ugh, my worst fears are confirmed. I should have done my homework. Thanks for the replies.
