An external burner is just an internal burner in a hard (external) case.
Go to your local computer shop. Ask for a DVD burner (not a combo drive). It should cost about 40k won (less if you get it at yongsan).
Install it (or have the shop put it together for you) in in an external case (cost about 20k won - case and labor).
60k won, takes about 15 minutes and you walk out the door with a NEW one.
