Will I be able to switch the OS to English, or is it like windows? |

When you install OSX, you get a prompt asking you to choose your language. |

actually easier than this.
When you first turn it on, assuming it is brand new, you get a prompt for what language you would like. Choice of 30 or so. English is there, but no Konglish
Added tip, order over the phone from the apple store and save around 10% as education discount just for being a teacher.
They let you pay via bank transfer too.
