Does anyone know anything about teaching *French* in Korea? My boyfriend might come over next year to stay with me for a year, and since he's French, we were thinking that that might actually be more lucrative than teaching English.

I'm looking for any info at all.

I can honestly say that I've met a couple of people interested in learning French, that said, if he comes on a tourist visa its not legal to teach.

Tell him to check out this www.macoree.com It's a French site about Korea. It's maintained by a man who's been here for quite a while and involved in a lot of activites.

Also, there are two French foreign schools in Seoul. I met one French guy who found his job through the website above. Actually, he found out from that website that one of the two French schools was looking for a French math teacher and he got the job.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Yeah, he can teach French, history, and probably lowish-level math (he has taught undergrad-level statistics). So, he might be able to find something.
