I was out the other night talking to a friend who is here in the Army. Seems that at his base three male officers raped a male private, in the barracks. Also, some of them were busted for smoking crack or something. This is all just news, but I don't think he was lying. Crazy. |

Sounds like normal army life to me. I wanted to join when I was younger but read about the rate of females getting raped by their fellows and decided not to go that route. |

That's a lot to take from your superior officers, IMHO. Was your "buddy" the one selling the crack? |

I was out and about in a "base town" over the weekend. I've hung out at Songtan before and the army guys there are an alright bunch , although it being an airbase they are officer class.
I was hanging out at another base full of grunts this weekend though. All I can say is that I'm getting old. I could not wrap my mind around the fact that these children were soldiers. I spoke to a few of the kids and they do get up to all sorts of nonsense which I imagine easily wouldn't endear them to the locals. |

They are dipping lower and lower into the pool to find people to join the military in the USA. I read about this, and asked a mid-level officer friend about it. He said it's very true. He calls them the "Cap on sideways/baggy pants" crowd. |

I had a friend in the Marines a few years ago. He would tell us stories about the shit they did to people (mind you he would tell these stories as if they were no big deal). My favorite was the guy who got his face spunked on by 5-6 guys while he was sleeping. You'd think there'd be more shootings with shit like that happening so regularly and with weapons so close at hand. |

When I was attending college 5 years ago, I met an Army friend and he said that this kind of crap goes on in the Korean Army. |

Stuff like that can happen and as for the selling of crack?.......How could they get it past DHS?, especially since they monitor all freight coming and going to EVERY military base worldwide......I know that several DoD civs and a soldier were arrested for buying some hashish from some Eritreans in Kuwait and selling it to the Kuwaitis (they were returned to US custody and shipped back to the US under the SOFA treaty the US has with Kuwait).
Stuff like does happen from time to time, however such incidents are far and few compared to the greater public.......except for the statistical data on rape- the US military has the highest percentage of rape cases than any other part of American society........... |

Yeah, he has a video he plans on putting up on youtube. No, wait he recorded the conversation with his buddy and is going to post a podcast! WTF? He told us it was a conversation with his buddy. Cali, the US army can never do any wrong in your world!
Do you think an organization as large as the American military is as clean as a whistle? If you do your bent. And another thing, it's the military, they don't air their dirty laundry in the media. In fact they put much effort to make sure it stays in house.
"got anything to prove the assertions"...my god!

Did your friend really tell you this? Are you sure it isnt one of your supressed memories. Because I was watching Law and Order SUV and memory supression is quite common. |

Jerk. I never made any of the assertions or had any of the attitudes you have attributed to me. |
