|
|
Having some difficulty connecting new Samsung PAVV TV to PC. I connected the RGB cable (two male ends with 15 prongs-same as cable used for printer) from TV (female outlet) to PC (Samsung SENSR70-female outlet).
Used the remote control to turn the TV setting to PC. A blue window pops up in Korean saying "Waiting for connection". Then the TV screen goes black.
Nothing is registering on my computer as reading the TV at all.
There is no install CD (only PC Share Manager 1.0m which seems useless). I cannot find any function on the computer to change settings to read the TV. The Korean manual is pretty useless as well.
Also what is HDMI? That seems to be another option to connect the laptop to the TV. Damn confusing . . .
Thanks in advance. |

DId you go to setting in your PC and put it on TV setting? HDMI is high def that barely came out in Korea but has been around for a bit in US. I doubt you'll have that port on your comp unless it's the latest comp on the market.
check your setting on your PC to display on TV. |

If it's like my wife's Samsung, you may have to assign the ports to the inputs using the on-screen menu. |

I use vga to hdmi cable. Then I had to add the screen and set resolution in my ATI control panel (vga card) and clone my desktop screen to the TV. I'm not sure that cable you're using will work. Also, is your vga card capable of passing 1080p? |

Thanks for the advice. Had Samsung TV service come here today. He stated that we needed to change the setup on the PC to connect to the TV. (Manual was in Korean). Wife called Samsung PC service, and they walked her through the settings changes.
So damn cool doing my post on a 40 inch screen. |

How about using the S-cable? Works great with my PC to PAVV. |

Is it a notebook or a desktop?
If it's a notebook have you switched the output to your external monitor? |

I connect the laptop to the TV while the laptop is off. When I restart the laptop, it automatically goes to the TV. There is also a Function button, maybe F5, that will transfer the screen material. |
