woohoo in the big city tonight. just wasted a day i'll never get back in a teacher training seminar at the corporate HQ..

they have some really cool stuff on-line. but...oh...you need a korean residency card to log on. ARC # are non-compatible. but if you can log-in (?) they have great stuff...if you can navigate the korean submenus.

if you can get past these walls you get to see the best on-line interactive english teching stuff in the industry. that is, if you don't mind all the errors (such as MC questions w/ no right answers).

they showed us a 30 minute tape on how to teach a class. the korean teacher filmed used all kinds of materials we don't have access to. and then the suited presenter told us that this wasn't such a great class recording but they didn't want to show us a great class session!

only two more days of this. and they give us homework!

i just left. no "certificate" for bad me.

they had us design four lesson plans but gave us feed back on none of them.

we'd watch obviously staged videos of korean young korean women teaching handfuls of korean girls.

we'd ask questions and the presenters would just keep on going without addressing the questions.

so much potential, so little benefit.
