Hey guys.
So I've got an old Nikon F1 with a broken winding mechanism. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any Nikon shops that could handle this, or any skillful camera artisans that do film camera maintenance.
Thanks! |

there is the official Seoul Nikon service center outside the city hall subway station, across from exit 8, like down the street from the Dunkin Donuts. can't do better without doing a bunch of research. the Daegu official service center is so easy for me to find, hard to describe. You know the underground shopping center? go to the far east end, go up on the Daegu station side, go down the small street next to the building that used to be Migliore (now it's Novotel) and it's just past the back corner of Novotel, on the second (third?) floor above the Anam Nikon shop. Although I live in Seoul, I take everything (or send) to Daegu, as he's the top guy in Korea, the boss of all the official Nikon dealers and service centers. He's great with film cameras. |

Thanks for the info. I've never been to Daegu so I think I'd take it to the Seoul service center. Have you send Nikon film camera's for repair with good results? |

Like I said, i only take mine to Daegu. That's the best place according to Nikon, and I've had great results over the past fourteen or so years. |

Nikon actually has about a dozen or so service centers in Korea. If you ever buy a Nikon product here, it'll come with the little card with all the places listed on it. I don't have mine at work with me, but PM me if you want a list of the places, addresses and all. I went to the one in the Jeongja building behind Yongsan Station, there is one in Namdaemun, there is one by or in Technomart in East Seoul, all over the place... |
