Can you find Nutella in the Busan area? Or will I have to bring it? I need it.

Yes. It should be widely available at supermarkets. Busan has a quite a number of western stores, I would think. I know that in Pohang I could get it, and that was three years ago. Busan is relatively better stocked.

What country is Nutella from anyway?

I don't think it's American coz the first time I seen it was at a Chinese snack shop.

E-mart carries it, as well as some of the bakery chains like Paris Baguette and Crown Bakery

History:

Nutella�, in its original form, was first created in the
1940s by Mr. Pietro Ferrero, a pastry maker and
founder of the Ferrero company. At the time, cocoa
was in short supply because of rationing due to
World War II, so chocolate was very limited.

So Mr. Ferrero used hazelnuts, which are plentiful
in the Piedmont
region of Italy
(northwest),
to extend the
chocolate
supply.

So it's made from hazelnuts (hack!)... No wonder it tasted strange.
