Someone asked the model number which I forgot to mention. It is an M-70 DL3. Also, this is in Seoul. The keys are black.

I'd be interested. Can you send me the serial number so I can check out the exact model, as there are a few M-70's out there. I'd offer around $400 as I'd have to travel from Changwon (a $100 round-trip)
Cheers

Honestly, I would rather keep it then sell it at that price.
I'd be willing to consider shipping it to someone in Korea if that person sent the money to me first. I have to admit that would require a lot of trust, but I will at least put that option out there.

I lowered the price a little but I am pretty firm on the new price. Toshiba's aren't like crappy Acers or Dells. They last a long time and if no one wants to buy it at this price than I will just keep it for myself (I know what its worth to me). I have been to Yongsan and I have checked online sales in the US. You aren't going to get a better deal there on a quality computer like a Toshiba or IBM. These computers last for years.

Um, Acers and Dells aren't crappy.
And technically, the only difference is brand name, design, and which companies they are affiliated with so they can offer you lower prices. Everything inside the laptop isn't Dell, Acer, or Toshiba products. The chip, hard drive, gfx card, etc... are all from different companies. ie: Intel processors.. all laptops use it or AMD. A Dell laptop could have a Toshiba hard drive. People assume Dells are crappy because they have way more older notebooks in circulation and have the image of being crappy. It's all about how you maintain and upgrade them. Rumors such as.. "Dells suck, they break easily," circulate because there are more techincally challenged people than informed people.

Quality like IBM or Toshiba? What qualities? Faster speed? Nicer LCD?
Sorry, that has nothing to do with the brand name, but all about the hardware. That's why when you see laptops advertised by Dell or any other company you see, "New SLEEK design! Slim!" Always about the looks.

Where I come from a lot of people buy new Dells and everyone considers them to be high quality.

If you want to disagree you can. This is an old argument and some people will never agree. Its like arguing about windows/OSX/Linux.
Try looking at consumer reports. Look at the lifespan of the computers and how often you consumers have to go back to the manufacturer because of problems they have had. Look at power management and where Toshiba places its cooling fan on its laptops. Not to mention Toshiba's don't have nearly as much bloatwere as most laptops. I am not talking about processor speed, or the LCD.
There is such a thing as Engineering in this world I honestly believe that computers like ASUS, IBM's and Toshiba's are better engineered than the likes of Acer and Dell (although I do believe Dell has gotten better). That is one of the reasons they are more expensive to buy in the first place.
The bottom line is if you don't want to buy this computer from me then you don't need to post in this thread.

I wouldn't buy it from you out of principal either way because you come across as a cock.

If it's so good why don't you keep it like you are threatening to do.

Got an Inspiron 2200 that I bought at about that price new in Nov 2005. I've got just about everything your Toshiba has except less RAM and a smaller screen. Still running strong. Dells are nice. Yet if I tried to sell it I probably wouldn't ask for more than $100-200.

How old's that Peter Toshiba?

I major in Psychology and have been interning and learning with a phd clinical psychologist for 3 years. Don't try to analyze peoples' motives for posting. It's much more complex than "trying to be powerful." I smirk at all your comebacks. Especially the latest one.

If you noticed, almost every topic having to do with computers was bashed to some degree. It's a very sensitive topic, since prices for computers and respective parts are immensely depreciative. Such as my laptop that was worth $2,800 last year can be bought with double the ram, faster processor, and bigger hard drive for $1,800 this year.

You have to think about your target consumer, you are trying to sell to someone who wants a low budget laptop, that is willing to sacrifice some performance to shave off costs. Your laptop is right in the middle, not cheap, but not expensive. There are people for your range, but not as much as other ranges. Good luck.

Sold? Hahha. 95% chance he is going to try to sell it to you Jedi.

I am not saying my computer is the steal of the century. I know what I want for my computer and if I don't get what I want for it I am happy to keep it for another year or so. Anyways, as long as the guy doesn't flake then I sold it for a little bit less than I had originally hoped for and wanted. If he doesn't than I will keep it for another year or so until I find a computer I am dying to upgrade to.
I am pretty sure its not Jedi, the guy said he lived in Seoul. Jedi said he lived on the other side of the country.
