Wrapped around a kebab from the dude outside starbucks near that crazy basement club I can't remember the name of, in Iteawon. I suppose you could always ask him. A W3000, delicious meditation on the where-being-there of pitta.

ohhhhhhhhhhh, chili. Spliff, did you eat it all or did you save some for me?
Moosehead, I'll be making the hummus. It's actually pretty easy if you have a blender or food processor.

Ingredients:

1 cup dried chickpeas (garbanzo beans), soaked overnight in plenty of water
2 garlic cloves
Juice of 1 large lemon
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
3 tablespoons tahini
Sea salt
Ground cumin

Directions:

Drain chickpeas and cook them in a pot of simmering water until tender. Drain and set aside.

Combine chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, extra-virgin olive oil, and tahini in a food processor and blend until ingredients come together into a thick paste.

With the food processor running, add a little water, about half a tablespoon at a time, until the hummus becomes smooth and creamy. Add sea salt, to taste.

Thanks a bunch for the recipe!

wow - - I used to make an excellent chili seasoned with tequila - haven't in a while - I don't eat beef anymore - what kind of meat did you use - or was it a vege chili?

maybe we need to organize an expat chili cookoff - anybody interested?

I'm in for that one. I made a pretty mean chili this week myself. My gf raves over my chili each time I make it, and she is Korean. I think I will have leftovers today. Very Happy
