I'm sure that their must be a school or two out there willing to employ a teacher for a short period of time. I've done year long contracts in Korea before and am uncertain that I could complete another one. Does anybody have any information on this topic? ( Visas, Pay, Hours, Airfare ) |

It scares me that people like you ask the questions you do... |

IF you are IN Korea = no problem.
IF you are abroad = (virtually) no hope. |

How would I go about doing this while in Korea? Where would I look? |

As Ttompatz says it's easier if you're in Korea. Or you could come on an E2 and give notice at the 6 month mark. Get no severance, get no return flight and leave like that, if you think you can't do the whole year. Although the money saved may be frittered away on the flight. I know someone at PS who's gonna do this, her co-teacher leaves at the beginning of the spring term and she doesn't want to work without her for her final six months. |

Search for Kunsan University. They never give one-year contracts, only 6 months. Course, they are scum of the earth and if they were on fire I wouldn't piss on them to put it out. |

I know a few people who have done this, just contact recruiters and let them know the score. Some schools are happy with this as they get 6 months worth of teaching with no bonus to pay. You will probably have to be flexible with location though. |
