Ray tracing vs. rasterization... (a bit technical, but interesting)

Ray tracing puts up a convincing argument. Nvidia's recent acquisition of RayScale makes one wonder if ray tracing will be the future. It has great parallel potential, but it's the CPU that does the work, not the GPU. Apparently Intel demoed Quake 4 on an eight core system with ray tracing.
