|
|
My boss has asked me to re-sign, and I've agreed. (peanut gallery welcome)
He wants to extend my visa, rather than get a new one, and he thinks that to do this I don't need to leave the country.
My visa expires in August.
I'm Canadian.
I've agreed to re-sign.
What will I need to do?
My boss is waiting on a letter from immigration, but I thought I could get a quicker, possibly more reliable, answer here...
Thanks in advance for your help. |

take your passport, ARC, and your old and new contract to immigration office w/ 3 photos as well.
also, if you want, bring an official letter from your hagwon stating your employment (past and future) with the school.
i have a public school position and they were able to renew my visa in 10 minutes. cost is 30,000 won and an extra 50,000 for a multiple entry visa. (make sure they make the change in your passport.)
i think that's all you need. |

If you wish to renew your contract at your current school, you will need the following documents:
1. Visa Extension Application
2. Passport and your Alien Registration Card
3. New contract
4. Sponsorship Certificate (from school)
5. A copy of Certificate of School / Business Registration (from school)
6. Processing Fee
7. New Criminal Record Certificate, apostillized / embassy notarized (for those IN KOREA)
8. New Health Check Certificate

Thanks for your help as always Tom.
I don't have either of the above, so my next unprepared question is whether or not I need to leave the country in order to get them. |

#7 depends on where you are from.
Just look around, there is lots of information on how to get one from here.
It is nationality specific.
#8 you get done here at a public / government hospital.
