Ok, thought I'd tag this on her thread, but then thought this may gain more attention.

CLG mentioned that her throat hurt after several hours with Kindy classes... and others mentioned methods to sooth her discomfort. However, I've something for you lots...preventative medicine.

My wife has been teaching kindy full time for 3 years, and many schools where her program (teacher for hire) requires her to be loud. We went to seminars every other weekend, and found that 'bok shik ho heub' (복식호흡) breathing/talking method does wonders....after mastering this method, she could yell at kids all day and fake orgasms with great zeal everynight....ok, we're married....oh well.

Seriously, this method (I can not explain this way, I have to do it in person) really will do wonders for you all. The lecturer who taught us was from EBS and will look up her name...maybe she has a video tape explaining how to do it....or, ask around and maybe someone knows of this.

Shoosh,

Ryst

Just to clear up that my voice problems surfaced before I started teaching in the morning. More to do with the flu and a very dry apartment. I don't yell that often but I appear to be very loud because I can project my voice well.

you know I want to learn that voice. Most of the korean teachers can do it (not all of them ajummas) and it scares the hell out of me.

I want to learn how to do that to others. Along with popping my eyes out of my head.
