Hey people, any advice on this would be sooooo appreciated....
I'm in Bangladesh at the moment looking to come to Korea on a tourist visa and then organise a visa run.
ytuque never had an E-2 and did it by getting his degree verified by the Korean Council for University Education - http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?p=1570597&highlight=#1570597
I cannot PM him - does anyone have further information?
I'm suppose I can secure a job before I leave for Korea, send my employers my degree for verification with KCUE then turn up with all other documents (transcripts, CBC etc). Or can I verify my degree directly through KCUE and finalise a job when I arrive?
I am trying to avoid flying home for an interview. All I have with me is my original degree - it will be hard to get other documents but I don't see any problems (one-way on the plane there should be okay with a waiver if needed)
Any help much appreciated - Korea sounds fun

Without the other documents it is all moot anyway. Until you have them in hand there is nothing anyone can do for you (including the Korean Council for University Education).
The easiest part is the interview and it would probably be cheaper, easier and faster to go home and get everything ready that trying to get it done here as a tourist.
Verified degree, sealed - official university transcripts, apostilled criminal background check....
Good luck dude, you're gonna need buckets and barrels full of it since you don't have any of the other required paperwork available and getting things done from here is problematic at best.

Thank you ttompatz,
Unfortunately I do understand it may well be easier to fly home and get the interview done there. However, I want to avoid the excess flights and would prefer to stay outside England (no, I'm not running from the law
3 copies of my original University transcripts are waiting to be posted - I understand these don't need to be authenticated. I'm pretty sure I can get a UK police check from abroad and get my parents to get it authenticated and sent. I have my original degree certificate with me.
So I think that's it....
I'm sure a lot of people are interested in this.... |
