After initially passing out from a joygasm overload, I decided to pass along the good news to anyone who might care.

http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/

They've stated that its actually been in development for 4 years already (but also that its still "way too early" to have a release date). Considering the polish shown in the gameplay footage, I'm not surprised.

Blizz needs to quit making this other BS and get back to pumpin out their next expac to WoW. 2 years for an expac is way too damn long, EQ's first couple of em were quite well done and only took a year.

When they said way back when that D2 was the end of the story and there would never be a D3, I said it was BS. Although, I had a much better scenario for D3 than they ended up with (IMO).

I figured with all the Hellish influences on the mortal realm done away with, I assumed the Heavenward entities would get all "big in the head" and go all Old Testament on us (no one to keep them in check), so player characters would have to wage war against the corrupted forces of good.

Well, that never happened it seems. Too bad.

I don't remember if its somewhere on the official site or if it was in an interview with the devs, but the ranks of your enemies will include some of the "fallen forces of light". Also, I find it rather suspicious that Tyriel is on the main page...

So, it's looking like you were at least part right.
