I'm trying to get a model car kit for someone for xmas. I've been shopping online (I hate it) but now I'm thinking I might be able to get it here in Seoul. I haven't the slightest idea where to look but I'm sure there are a few shops in the city.
Anyone with suggestions please let me know...

2 places to check- Coex Mall at Samseong sta. has a great hobby/model/rc shop, and I also recall seeing a rather large Hobby store across the street from the Seoul Express Bus Terminal (heading in the direction of Kim's Club).
Nice handle- Phish? Great song. |

Right outside of the Sinyongsan (line 4) station there is a big model shop. EDIT- I went by there this morning, its at exit 3. Right behind it is yongsans small prostitution area. Zoning in Korea, eh? Hobby shop and Wh0re Store 15 meters apart! They seem to have everything and so close to Iteaewon!

There is a huge model shop in Kangnam, if you know where the Outback steak house is, it is across the street and a little farther up if I remember correctly.
(so this is about 15min walk from Kangnam Station) |

Just wanted to add "Hobby Park" located at, I think, exit 4 of Samgakji station line 6. It's sandwiched between the picture shops. Fantastic selection of kits from all major players (e.g. Tamiya/Academy/Bandai).
There's also "Alpha Models" just across from the Hyundai dept. store in Apkujong. |
