Help! If you've purchased a slingbox, I could use your expertise.

I'd like to get a slingbox. My brother will set it up at his house, but neither I nor my computer would physically be present @ his house. Will I still be able to set up the slingbox and get it to work properly?

Does my laptop need to be present at his house during the setup, or can I just download the software directly from slingmedia and have my brother email me the key/password?

I tried to check online at a variety of websites but I was unable to find any specific answers for this scenario. Thanks to anyone who can help me out on this.
