If Korea were a person, and went to see a psychiatrist, what would the psychiatrist's diagnosis be?
Would the psychiatrist certify the patient fit to teach English in Korea?
In short, would Korea be able to get an E-2 visa to teach English in Korea? |

Puberty....just wash Korea's face several times a day with mild soap, and disregard the emotional temper tantrums. Teenagers are a difficult bunch. |

Narcissistic Personality Disorder or possibly a Dissocial Personality Disorder.

believes that he or she is "special" and unique
requires excessive admiration
has a sense of entitlement
is interpersonally exploitative
lacks empathy
is often envious of others or believes others are envious of him or her
shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes |
Quote: |
Specifically, the dissocial personality disorder is described by the World Health Organization by the following criteria:
Callous unconcern for the feelings of others and lack of the capacity for empathy.
Gross and persistent attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for social norms, rules, and obligations.
Incapacity to maintain enduring relationships.
Very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence.
Incapacity to experience guilt and to profit from experience, particularly punishment.
Marked proneness to blame others or to offer plausible rationalizations for the behavior bringing the subject into conflict.

You sure hit the nail on the head, Orchidelirium.
Are you planning to do this for a living, diagnosing countries? I hear the CIA needs people like you.
Now if only we could find an appropriate tranquilizer to put into the tap water for mass medication. |

My diagnosis is that the OP fits the dissocial personality traits very very closely. |

Wow, Orchid, that was perfect. Korean society hits every single one of the indicators for those two conditions. |
