A recruiter I am working with is recommending me for a position in Eon yang. Does anyone have any experience with this small town? The recruiter says that it is breathtaking. I have found little information on the area when I Google Eon yang? Any insight, information or experience with this place would be helpful. |

I've driven through there once, I think. It was nice but not breathtaking, though I suppose highways never are. Eonyang ('eon' is pronounced like 'yawn' without a 'y') is a small town with a population of 23,000 people.
I don't imagine that there's a lot to do there, but it's technically within the city limits of Ulsan, which is a big city. |

Hi!
I actually live in Eonyang, Ulsan...it's a lovely little town, and actually has the KTX station (the high-speed bullet train).
There are around 12 foreign teachers here, and we have developed quite a community.
It is around 30 minutes from Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongju and Daegu (KTX), so well positioned to travel around.
I've been here for 18 months and love it...I plan on staying a further 18 months. |

Thanks for your feedback. Do you mind me asking if you are happy with your housing? |

I lived in Eonyang from 2003-2006. It was a great place to live and close to everything you need. Large mountains surround it and there is a big river running through the middle. Great in the summer.
I enjoyed my time there. I go back every 4 months to visit. |

If you enjoy small towns it's pretty decent because it's got the Ulsan KTX station right there so you can be anywhere in the country very quickly.
It's about a 15,000원 cab ride to downtown Ulsan if you are going there for entertainment. |
