Didn't even make it through the door today after work when I got a phone call from my co worker. "Hi, I just got off the phone with the mother of one of your students. Did you show them a video with naked man? She tells me her daughter says you showed the class a video with naked man."

"Uh, no. No videos with naked man in my class." I was at a loss for words.

"She also said that you touched her daughter's breasts."

Come the F on. I have a pretty good idea which student it was in my class. There are three girls who sit in the back of the class. Two of them come late every day. All three of them are 12 years old. They don't participate in class. Instead they sit and giggle and draw in their books and talk shit on me in Korean when I am in the front of the room.

Now one of them is lying to her mother about me making sexual advances on her and her mother is ready to file some sort of law suit. My co-worker tried telling her that it isn't true.

There is a CCTV camera in the room but I doub't they'll feel assed to look through the recordings from the past week and see if it is true. I am fucked.

Korea, it was nice being here, think my time is up. I never thought I would see the day where I would be labelled as a pedo.

I would make sure you get those videos, before the policeman at the evidence unit gives you a shrug and a grin. Get them, then get them copied and make sure your coteach is there when you do all of it. Don't even teach until you cover your ass.

The video part.

I showed them a video about parkour, the French/English freestyle running/climbing sport. We were talking about sports and such. In one clip a man does a handstand and his shirt came down, exposing his chest. Some of the students screamed. Somehow that turned into me showing the class a video with a completely naked man? What the *beep* is wrong here? I understand cultural difference and I it probably wasn't a good idea to show the video since it showed a mans chest, but he wasn't naked. My coteacher kept asking me "was the man in the video completely naked?"

"No he wasn't."

"But she told me her daughter told her the man was naked. Was he wearing clothes?"

"I said he wasn't naked. Why the *beep* would I show a video of a naked man to my class?"

Then it goes from showing them a lewd video to me touching the twelve year old girls breasts. This is such a pointless fucking head trip. It's like they're trying to find something to pin on me here. My coteacher is on my side on this but if the mother of the little bitch gets a lawyer, odds will be against me. Then I lose. Oh well, someone has to do it. Might as well be me. If the visa regulations suddenly "change" and become even more "frustrating" you'll know who to thank, but I'll be out of here by then.

pretty sure i read somewhere ( no doubt on this board ) that there's no legal repercussions for making false accusations against someone ( especially a filthy waeguk who's only here to fornicate with korean women anyway ).

its a shitty situation, like someone said above make sure you get hold of the video tapes before they 'disappear'. probably a good idea to contact your embassy/consulate and find out where you stand on legal support as well.

this is what i would do.

tell them that due to the severity of the allegations i cannot and will not spend another second in the classroom until the mother is brought in. then the coteacher, mother student (or 3 mothers of the three students if you're unsure of which one), pricnipal and whoever else you want has one big meeting.

wow - you are very lucky if there is a camera in the classroom. FOR GOD'S SAKE, GET THAT FOOTAGE!!

im at a public school and there are no comeras in my classrooms that im aware of. i might be screwed if that happened to me...

Hindsight is 20/20, but you really shouldn't show videos of a naked man in your class.
