|
|
I tried burning some of my newly downloaded DVD9s onto Afa DVD+R DL discs today, and got some errors about half way through the burn.
I'm using Nero 8, and I tried burning an ISO image, and a Video_TS folder, and both gave me errors.
My burner is an LG GSA-H58N.
Does anyone know what could be the problem? |

It sounds like you have had the layer-break problem. Dual-layer DVD burning software should create a break point after the first 4.7GB have been burned to begin burning the rest of the data on the 2nd layer.
If the layer-break is not defined the burn will fail.
I haven't burned DL disc's in about a year. I forget what exactly to do about that. Nero 8 should have a user friendly way to make sure the layer-break has been created. |

I don't know about your brand of DVD's, but I had the same problem with Memorex ones... not the best quality; that was my problem. Didn't have that issue with Verbatim. |
