The anti-mosquito fog blaster truck just swept through my neighborhood (twice) siren blaring. But instead of indiscriminately fumigating everything, there was a guy with a hose sitting shotgun targetting only standing water.

Thats a sensible new development.

I wish they'd do that here.. we don't even get a warning..I hear the big F'ing noise of the stuff being sprayed twice a day it seems and i run to close my windows.. (not fun at 6:30 am) before the fog reaches my apt, i get a good breeze so i don't like to shut my windows... funny thing is I live right in an outdoor market so all the fog goes over all the food Rolling Eyes bet you that tastes yummy..

I'm 10 floors up, so I don't have to give a second thought about it for once.

Although, I do get a kick out of watching from above all the neightbourhood kids running around and playing in the stuff. Yeah, just breath it in. Deeply.

in all the past years that the mogi man has
come by my house, there would always be a huge
thick foul smelling white cloud floating around the
neighborhood for hours after.

whenever I heard it coming I would dash around the house
closing all the windows.

this year it has come by three times now and it was
the strangest thing; only a little bit of smoke
coming from it and no smell.

I did not feel the need to close all the windows.

I remember when I lived in Cheonan and the truck would come by, and I would be on the street and then covered with this white smoke. I would try to evade the truck, but sometimes you couldn't get away:) LOL

Every day for the past two weeks our mogi truck has come by at 6:30am, too. Must be working. Not a single mogi in my apt yet.

I don't either really... in my 4 years this is the 1st time i've seen it sprayed in an area more than once.. (maybe i haven't been home at other times) but I'm home sleeping at 6:30am and usually around 7 pm is when they come around again.. not sure if it's a truck as they're on the back streets and it just progresses forward..

I got to ride in one the other day. Whee! The sprayer wasn't going though. They were just taking me to the right municipal building after I went to the wrong one. That was nice of them.
