My hagwon has asked me to get a healthy check from a local hospital. I've already had the drug test a few months back, but in the 3 and half years I've been in Korea, I've never been asked for a health one.
Is this unusual? Has anyone had this check before? If so, what does it involve? (ie, any latex gloves?)
Thanks in advance. |

No... I have my alien card now and everything should be finished. I asked my head teacher and she couldn't give me an answer. |

The Korean National Health Insurance system requires health checkups for Foreign teachers who have been insured for a certain length of time. I'm not sure if it's based on continuous employment with a single employer or total continuous time insured. I was required to have one of these checkups last year, but I was able submit the results of a very thorough physical I had done just a few months earlier. |
