I mean clearly you people are not around. Okay, you have lives, etc., that's cool. Choose one person to moderate weekends.
Personally, I'd ban images after today, forever. Beyond the fricking pale. But short of that get someone who will ban users who post garbage, on the spot.
Also, get this guy's I.P. address and give it to the cops/immigration. Or at least post it on the boards so we know where he lives. I'd like to know, personally. I'm upset, and I'm sure others are as well.. |

| The mods are sleeping as the site is in California, USA. While it's 9:40PM Sunday night in Korea, it's still only 5:40 AM in California! They will take care of the mess late tonight/early Monday morning, Korean time. |

^ As I have said any decent high traffic site has a good team of moderators in different time zones.
Go check out www.thaivisa.com - site is over moderated but if something comes up it is dealt with quickly. |

It was a large photo from Aquafresh, post entitled "This is your hagwon boss" It was, hands down, the MOST disgusting image I've ever seen ...anywhere, anyhow. Im still sick over it. It's been removed, and Aquafresh banned, presumably.
Why did I log on at this point in the evening... Lucky I guess!

| One of my best friends from elementary school is now a porn/advertising web moderator back in the States. He gets paid shit loads to make sure advertisements and videos are running smoothly. Hanging out at his house when he is doing work, I get to see what he is doing. I've seen it all. Nothing can shock me any more. I have become desensitised. |

Dude, how do you think that's going to work? That still wouldn't stop someone from posting porn. It would have more hands on deck where if someone sends the mods a report, then someone responds, but it wouldn't stop someone who is crazy. I think there are probably moderators from different time zones. Even if all the moderators were in Korea, do you think that would solve the problem?
However, even if you had several moderators inside Korea, they could only do so much, I would suspect. What these people are doing I think is probably a felony. They should be put in jail for their actions. I am tired of such posters on Dave's. I find it disturbing, too.
That image, by far, was one of the worst I've seen. What's next - the Texas Chainsaw Massacre? |

Was it a picture of a murder victim or a child being molested? If it was something along those lines, then yes, it is illegal and something should be done, like tracking down the IP address, going to the PC Bang, and looking at the surveilance cameras and going after the person.
If it is simply porn, then yeah, it's bad, but you can't be prosecuted for that. |

IPs can be masked easily enough. There are dozens if not hundreds of free proxy servers around the world that will mask your IP address. Blocking IPs or proxy servers won't solve anything, just as posting IP addresses won't. Each post can have a different IP, and that's even if he only continues to post from random public terminals.
Unless they plan on taking legal action against to guy, they can't stop him. |

You can in Korea. Koreans have been prosecuted/fined for doing porn in OTHER COUNTRIES. Police nailed them once they landed on Korean soil again.
Porn is not the only branch of law the police uphold even if the law is broken in another country (where the act may be perfectly legal). Try smoking up legally in Amsterdam then take a piss test here. They won't care it was legal where you did it, you'll still be without a visa and a job. |

Yeah, guys can use proxies, but maybe this guy doesn't know how. He doesn't strike me as the smartest hammer in the sack.
What's really sad is, using a proxy, actively trying to get this stuff on the web. That's why I said they *should* give this stuff to the cops if he lives in Korea. There are ways of tracking proxies if you have the hardware, though I'm no expert. Here's one method.

| If porn is so illegal here, why do they have spank PC Bangs where you can go in and watch porn and spank one off? These exist here. There's one in Anyang. And sorry, but smoking weed in Amsterdam is actually illegal. I know. I have many Dutch friends. |
