| Just wondering if there was a US military base in Chuncheon- and what teacher's relationships with the soldiers have been like. I read a few articles (opinion pieces mainly) about fairly one-sided opinions regarding what they thought of the US in South Korea, so I was hoping for several recent experiences of teachers with any of their interactions have been like. |

Camp Page closed down a few years back and most of the soldiers there are now assigned to Camp Stanley before they are moved to Camp Casey for a while before their final move to Camp Humphreys.....
Chuncheon grew and developed around the heloport.....there were some fears that the local economy would faulter after the base closed, but things seem to fair well for the town after it closed.........there many stories about what they would do after they decontaminate the grounds~ things from housing to razing everything and turn it into a park........ |
