I understand there are three public school districts. My questions is which one offers the following: living area that is safe and has teachers or other professionals that come from America or other countries, walking distance or short bus ride to the school and a district that works well with American Teachers by following the contract and not being sneaky. |

| if you want all criteria met, your only option is a district somewhere other than Korea. Seriously. |

There are not just 3 school districts in Korea ... Though there are 3 main programs which employ foreign engilish teachers...
And while there are more levels of heirachy below that.
The question that you maybe should ask is more in terms of which parts of the country are more likely to have what you want - in terms of other western teachers etc. Being more of less likely to be ripped of - is not usually a big problem with public schools - they do in general tend to do the right thing - by the book - especially compared to hagwons. The real important questions for you think about are things like whether you want to be in part of a big city or want to be in a very rural area. Within Korea both are possible for you ... even within the same province. |

Try to get a job in the richer areas of Bundang, which is a suburb of Seoul. Students tend to be from richer families, and are at a higher level than in most schools.
I suggest something near Seohyun, Sunae, Jeonja, or Yatap stations. |

There are numerous public school districts in Korea. All the ones who employ foreigners will likely have some foreigners who have had good experiences and some that have had bad ones. This is all down to individual schools and how well the foreigners have fit in.
All areas of Korea are safe. Only a few very remote areas have few if any foreigners. Most foreign professionals you find will be teachers. Almost all of Korea is covered very well by public transportation. If you're school has a really good relationship with you, you might be better off if they don't follow the contract too closely but rather give you leaway with a lot of things (such as holiday time). |
