Also when i get to bangkok is it easy to sort out what ever visa's etc i need to say visit Vietnam , Cambodia and so on.

1. Aeroflot via Moscow
2. Aerosvit via Kiev
3. Qatar via Doha
4. Gulf Air via Bahrain
5. Sri Lankan via Colombo
6. Iran Air via Tehran
7. Kuwait Air via Kuwait
8. Turkish Airlines via Istanbul
9. Emirates via Dubai
10. Air India via India
11. Biman via Dhaka
12. Egyptair via Cairo
13. Etihad via Abu Dhabi
14. Ethiopian via Addis Ababa (usually REALLY cheap)
There are tons. It is almost always cheaper if you go on one of the above, not a direct express one. It will take longer, but the savings are much greater.
If you go on BA or Thai, you will get slugged the absolute highest possible price for travel between 2 premium hubs, rather than via a secondary (preferably third world) country where airport taxes are much lower.
Of course you can get visas in BKK for Cambodia and Vietnam. Not neccessarily same day, but I would be surprised if it took more than a few days. |
