...doing nothing.

I've got a bottle of Makkoli, three pouches of ginseng drink, numerous (vitamin) sugary drinks, a bottle of raspberry wine (that's been there a year) a pack of processed cheese slices (horrible).

They're just sat there. I'm cr*p at throwing stuff away, I'm a bit of hoarder. But everytime I open the fridge I'm reminded about their existence.

Anyone else got stuff in their fridge that's not doing much except sitting there?

Same on the processed cheese, it really does suck heh.
Couple cans of beer that I'm just not in the mood for, I doubt they're even alive anymore.

processed cheese is tolerable for cheese omellettes or grilled cheese sandwhiches-cold sandwhiches or on toast forget it.

I keep emptied milk cartons and tuna tins as I just put them in the white garbage bag right before it goes out to the curb

On a whim I bought some Mexican soda. A pineapple, a chocolate, and some random fruit I can't identify have been in the back of the top shelf for almost a year. I drank the grape and it tasted awful, so the other three just sit there, waiting for someone desperate enough to drink them.

The worst was in college. A local brewer made a low budget version of Mike's Hard Lemonade. It was called Mrs. Puckers. It turned out to be an uncarbonated malt liquor with a generic lemonade mix stirred into it. The fact that it was a dollar a case should have been a tell, but the samples they were handing out tasted good. In fact, in one ounce doses it was fine, anything more than that was not so good. We purchased ten dollars worth, that's ten cases, between the three roommates. I still have a six pack of it, for sentimental reasons, almost ten years later, though I use it as a bookend instead of keeping it in the fridge.

In my old apartment I had a two year old, giant fruit salad. I passed it on to the newcomers but I think they couldn't be bothered to keep it. I bet it was quite alcoholic.

So it's either rash/drunk purchases or unwanted gifts.

Being out in the countryside there is nothing but processed cheese slices. Makes you appreciate the real stuff.

Maybe that's why I keep them there, so every time I open the door I think "Ah for fekks sake, I'm gonna have to be desperate to eat them"

Kimchi. Going on two months. I still peck at it occasionally, like if I bring Korean food home, but not enough to warrant it's livelihood.

You should throw the Makoli out after a few days. It goes bad really fast and really starts to stink.

Lots of Homever processed cheese slices left at my place by a thoughtful friend. My summer camp kids are going to be making a whole lot of recipes that involve cheese Laughing I'm sure they'll appreciate my generosity.

Haven't opened it yet. It's got a best before of 4th October 2008. Strangely enough I've not had the compulsion to come home and drink it on my own.........yet.

My fridge was full of those little tubs of whipped cream (I chucked that) that they give you when you buy french baguettes. Why?

Those little bottles of raspberry wine are yummy....& if you don't want to drink it I'm sure it will clean up any rusty old metal just like new.

I currently have lots of cucumbers going soggy in my fridge but have found inspiration in the watermelon thread & tomorrow am gonna pickle the buggers.

Those little tubs of pickles you get when you have a take out pizza usually sit in my fridge for months. Why don't I just hand them back over the counter and walk out of Dominoes without them? Christ knows.

I also get fresh veggies, then I can't be bothered to cook and end up throwing the stuff out when it goes rotten.
