|
|
Hi there, We will be renewing our contracts for a further year - so we got our criminal record check, medical test etc done and that was all fine. Then our school director asked us to give her our passports and ARC's, which we did, but when she gave them back to us, she said it was "all done". But we didn't even go to immigration to get it done - she apparently did it all for us. Which is fine I guess, but now my question is - the only thing that shows that we have "renewed" our visas, is a small computer printed date at the back of our ARC's, but there is nothing in our passports - shouldn't there be something stamped into our passports too?
Thanks in advance for the advice. |

Yes that's fine - all you get is your ARC stamped. I went in person but have heard that some schools will send someone else to do it for you. So yes, all ok. |

Nope, nothing needs to go in your passport (except a new re-entry permit if you plan to leave Korea and come back during your contract.)
Your status of stay in Korea is governed by your alien registration certificate. The permitted dates of stay are as indicated on the front of your card or on the amendments section on the back. |
