I'm arriving in Thailand at about 1am and I'm catching a train from Bangkok at about 5:30am. If I go from the airport to the train station is there anything to do around there? Is it all closed and locked up? Will I be sitting on the streets in the dark by myself? If that's the case, where should I go instead for a few hours? Are the convenience stores 24hrs?

I spent a few hours in the station in 2003 and there were restaurants and stuff, but that was in the middle of the day.. perhaps a bit sketchy at night?

You probably can go hang out in the main hall of the train station as I googled to find out it provides 24 hour service with 24 service booths. 24 is the magic number when in the big city. http://www.bangkoktourist.com/places_bangkok_railway_station.php

Enjoy your trip.

Aha, thankyou =)

In Korea 25 also seems to be a magic number. I don't know how they squeeze that extra hour in, but damnit, they do.
