I went to the 7 Eleven tonight and I bought a Mr. Big chocolate bar. Man that was good. I quite enjoyed it actually. After I ate it, I actually looked at the wrapper. It said that it was made in Canada. Interesting. I turned it over and looked at the front. It read "When your this big, they call you Mister." WTF? I know they aren't talking about chocolate. Sometimes Canadian humor really gets me. I used to work with a lot of Canadians and they all had the same kind of dry humor that you don't see in anyone else.

What are some other sayings that come out of Canada that are pretty funny?

Oh hungry? Oh Henry.

The latter half usually pronounced quite sensually.

to be honest, in canada we generally use the apostrophe to indicate a contraction of the pronoun "you" and the verb "are". "you"+"are"="you're".

"your" is a possessive. perhaps you meant "when your dingdong is this canadian, they call you mister."

Nice way to be a complete jerk to someone who made a very innocuous post.

Anyway, to the OP, I'm not sure we have a better sense of humour than anywhere else, but this is a Canadian commercial that had me laughing (see link below). The flight attendant is not unlike those found on Air Canada flights.

Sorry, I made a minor error. You + Are = You're. You're a jerk. And not only people in Canada use apostrophes.

I like that other clip, the stewardess reminds me of my older sister and my mom when they fight.

Now for some real laughs. This is from the UK apparently.

Agree. It always gives people a better impression of you if you proofread your posts before posting for both spelling and grammatical errors. It lends you a little credibility.

I disagree. I think you are being petty. When I correspond with anyone in the district office or with my principal (here in Canada), I make sure that I use correct grammar and that I have no spelling mistakes. I do this because the e-mails are written in a formal context. The 'Off-Topic Form' of Dave's ESL Cafe is not a venue to warrant such attention to detail (in my opinion).

If you like to take care with your punctuation and grammar in all situations, all the power to you. However, to point out the minor grammatical errors of another poster, on an internet forum, seems a bit much.

Shocked I had seen a few of these commercials before, but never this one. I think this one is the most searing.

That one reminds me of this one that used to be on tv when we were kids:

As does a picture in your avatar of Iggy Pop, a man who has defecated on stage live? I wouldn't want you teaching my children if you idolized someone like that.
