I need a certificate of employment (for common law partner's visa papers). Has anyone ever written one or had one written for them?
I've searched for a sample online but haven't found anything concrete.
Could someone kindly post a sample if possible, or give me the details that will be needed.
Thanks |

It is a standard form that indicates your employer, employers address, YOUR name, ID number, start date, current or end date (whichever is sooner) and the employer's stamp.
Just ask your boss. The admin person should understand your request. They are required by law to give you one when you ask for it. |

I asked for one and they knew what I was talking about. However, I need one for Canadian residency (for my gf). Therefore it needs to be in English. My boss told me to write it up and he'd sign/stamp it.
Would it be enough to type one up on the companies letter head with the information you provided, then have them stamp and sign it? |
