| Yes, the title says it all. Great vodka like Svedka is drinking pleasure as it's distilled 5 times in the process to eliminate bad stuff and has the least amount of hangover as a result. I drank this cheap Buckingham Gin from Emart for 6,500 won last night and it made me feel horrible all day. Alcohol that gives you a bad hangover has congeners which are other types of poisonous alcohol not intended for human consumption, but ends up in cheap dirty brew while distilled spirits are more refined to only include ethanol which is the only kind of alcohol good for drinking. |

Yes, in the Mongolian building near Dongdaemun Stadium.
Take exit 10 and keep walking until you see about an 8 story building covered in Mongol and Russian signs.
Take the lift up a few levels and there is a place that vaguely resembles a shop which sells imported vodka.
It is all imported (Mongol and eastern Russian) so maybe not appeal to western tastes/sensibilities. |

Buy the cheap crap and filter it yourselfusing a Britta water filter. I heard somewhere that it was meant to work. Couldn't vouch for it though  |

It's a lot better than anything I've drank in Korea. I was given a bottle of Sky Blue last year as the Emart in Changwon sells it, but haven't seen it in the 2 other Emarts I've been too. Things sure are limited down to slim pickings right about now. If you like whiskey, soju, and cheap beer, it's available. That's all, but not good enough for me to tip up.
I'll be a making a shopping trip to Seoul in a couple weeks. |

All I can say is that during my stint (s) in the former SSRs and Russia, if you wanted to impress you drank Stolichnaya. Nothing else. Everything else was trash and didn't compare.
If you mix vodka, you can drink any old thing.

Yes I go with Stoli. Svedka isn't too bad for the money though. There's all kinds of places to find good vodka, even outside of Seoul. Never be too dependant on E-Mart or Homeplus, check out Costco or some of the smaller (not tiny Mom & Pop) grocery stores. |

No, vodka is the purest alcohol with the least hangover. I won't drink crap since the hangovers are more than bad and definitely not on a school night. Lesson learned last year in Korea. You can't just drink any old thing if you drink vodka on occasion. I can tell you don't drink outside of being required to do in a business situation. Yes, Stolichnaya is common in North America, but I've never tried it. Will try a bottle if I find it. Korean alcohol is terrible quality.
I like your ESL website. You sound like a matured experienced professional. A good one for passing on some knowledge as many teachers here guard their knowledge in secrecy. Yes, most of us end up having to re-invent the wheel when it comes to lesson plans and teaching materials which is ridiculous as this material has been created again and again thousands of times. Of course, we all have to find and develop our teaching style as it's impossible to imitate experienced teachers. (I tried) |

I'm back in Dublin at the moment and a majority of the bars here are using Stoichnaya now as their standard vokda. It's good stuff! It was always Smirnoff here everywhere until recently....not bad stuff, but not great either |

| grey goose is a little too pure for my taste. it lacks the smooth charcoal flavor of the premium Russian Vodkas. |

| Grey Goose is kind of overrated. Svedka is way closer to grey goose than to the cheap stuff, and way closer in price to the cheap stuff - hence a pretty good choice in my book. There's another good one that's not pricey but I forget the name of it right now. |

They did that on Mythbusters. It actually did make the cheap stuff taste better, but an expert was still able to tell the difference. |
